Envirologic is an environmental consultancy based in Baldoyle, North Dublin and has key competencies in hydrogeology (groundwater), hydrology (surface water) and flood risk assessments. The practice was established in 2010 and prides itself on having a sound scientific knowledge of these areas and the application of modern analytical techniques to achieve practical solutions. Clients and project types are diverse though compiling EIAR chapters for quarries form a significant part of our workload along with flood risk assessments for private and public developments.
Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate level Hydrogeologist or Hydrologist to join our team.
Job Description
Being a small but busy practice, this role will provide you with a unique opportunity to develop your career through exposure to a wide range of projects and tasks, one-on-one mentoring, training and development, within a supportive and friendly environment. There is an opportunity for the role to grow as you do, taking on higher levels of project ownership and responsibility as your skills and experience develop.
The role is full time and permanent and your key tasks will include:
- Desktop studies;
- Site work, for example stream channel surveys, water sampling, installation of environmental monitoring equipment;
- Coordinating site work with clients, laboratories, site investigation contractors and other consultants;
- Collection, organisation and analysis of data and presenting this information in technical reports.
What We're Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you enjoy problem solving, have an eye for detail, a positive attitude and work ethic and are motivated to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you’ll have the following:
- An honours degree or MSc qualification in hydrogeology/hydrology, or relevant earth science or environmental engineering discipline;
- A full, clean drivers licence;
- An aptitude for technology in terms of field hardware and office-based software;
- Some experience in environmental-related work such as water sampling or GIS would be advantageous but not essential as on the job training will be provided.
The position will be based at our office in Baldoyle, North Dublin but there will be a need to travel across Ireland for work at times.
