Resolute Civils is seeking an experienced Mechanical Operative / Team Lead to join our team delivering water infrastructure projects nationwide. The role centres on the installation and fit-out of pump systems within ground tanks, leading small site teams, and taking ownership of works once set up.
The candidate will initially work closely with management to understand project scope and standards, with a clear path to independently leading installations on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Install multiple pump sets within underground tanks
- Carry out mechanical fit-out, including steel and PVC pipework
- Lead a small team on site and coordinate daily activities
- Work in confined spaces in full compliance with safety procedures
- Assist with pump commissioning and system setup
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts
- Support installation of associated electrical cabling (advantageous, not essential)
- Take ownership of works following initial setup and guidance
Requirements
- Strong mechanical background (plumbing experience highly desirable)
- Experience working on pump systems or similar infrastructure projects
- Confined space training (or willingness to obtain)
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures, including RAMS and permit systems
- Proven ability to lead or supervise small teams
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
Desirable
- Experience commissioning pump systems (set-up, testing, fault finding)
- Basic knowledge of electrical cabling and connections associated with pump installations
- Experience with lifting equipment (chain blocks, davits, etc.) for tank and pump installation
- Familiarity with Irish Water standards and typical civils / water infrastructure specifications
- Strong communication skills with site teams, management, and other contractors

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
