About the Role:
As a Business Development Manager at eir, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing our Small/Medium Business customer base and strengthening eir’s market presence nationwide. Acting as a true brand ambassador, you will identify, engage and convert new SMB customers through consultative, face‑to‑face selling.
This is a performance‑driven role for ambitious sales professionals who thrive on winning new business, building relationships, and exceeding targets, all while supporting our purpose Connecting for a better Ireland.

As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Drive new customer acquisition within the SME market

Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development
- Identify, qualify and win new SME customers
- Build and deliver structured action plans to grow your territory
- Build trusted relationships from first contact to point of sale
- Deliver a professional, personalised customer experience
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed sales targets across volume and quality KPIs
- Deliver face‑to‑face presentations and consultative sales discussions
- Plan journeys and appointments effectively to maximise conversion
Market Awareness/ Product Knowledge
- Stay up to date with competitor activity and market trends
- Collaborate with internal teams to remain an expert on eir products and services
Compliance
- Accurately capture activity and sales data using internal systems
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and company standards
Requirements for successful applications:
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proven success in sales and/or business development
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Confident objection handling and influencing ability
- Highly target‑driven with a strong results orientation
