Clerical Officer Bed Management Unit Grade IV
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
-
Ensure that the medical, surgical and endoscopy waiting list & booking systems in BMU are managed in an effective and efficient manner while maintaining high standards of clerical practice within the department
-
Provide clerical supervision to staff and provide support to Grade V
-
Manage and support additional workload associated with scheduled care initiatives.

Cover Annual leave and short absences within the department
-
Collate and produce any necessary statistical reports as requested
-
Manage telephone queries, both internal and external, in a professional and efficient manner, providing accurate data/information
-
Participate in the training of staff
Eligibility Criteria
-
A minimum of three years Administrative experience essential
-
Previous Bed Management experience desirable

Hold a relevant Administration qualification and have achieved a high level of proficiency in same
-
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills, and have the ability to work on his/her own initiative
-
Be very patient focused with an approved record of managing sensitive and confidential information
-
Be a highly motivated self-starter
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of administrative processes and IT skills (to encompass database and excel) to assist in the delivery of a coordinated approach to patient care.

Database administration

Accuracy and attention to details in respect of data entry.

Be extremely flexible,

iPMS experience is essential
