The Johnstown Estate is currently seeking a talented and experienced Banqueting Head Chef to join our award-winning culinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate chef to take the lead in delivering exceptional food experiences across weddings, corporate events, gala dinners and more.
As Banqueting Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of our banqueting kitchen operations - from menu planning to food preparation and service. You'll lead a dedicated team to deliver high-volume, high-quality food for events that make lasting impressions.

Lead and manage the banqueting kitchen team in delivering consistently excellent food.

Plan, prepare, and present dishes for events including weddings, conferences, and private functions.

Collaborate with the Events and F&B teams to design bespoke menus tailored to each occasion.

Ensure food safety and HACCP standards are maintained at all times.

Monitor stock levels, control costs and minimize waste.

Train, mentor and develop junior chefs within the kitchen team.

5+ years' experience in a senior chef role, ideally with a strong banqueting or large-scale catering background.

Formal culinary qualifications.

A proven track record in managing a busy kitchen and team.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.
