Material Handler
Location: Parkmore West - Co. Galway
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 39-hour standard week
Salary: Competitive - Dependant on experience
Key Requirements
- Full clean Category B driving licence.
- Forklift/Reach Truck/Power Pallet/Combi certification desirable.
- Experience using scanners and warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Azyra) is an a distinct advantage.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
The Role
Supporting the customer through picking, packing and shipping materials in the warehouse while carrying out other associated work in the warehouse.
Job Responsibilities
- Receiving material and checking against paperwork.
- Put-away material to stock locations.
- Ensure all pick-lists are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure all shipments are properly palletized and handed over to correct carrier.
- Dispatch paperwork to accompany shipments.
- Conduct cycle counting in all aspects of put-away, locations and picking.
- Safe use of machinery e.g., forklift, power pallet truck, Combi.
- Accurately key information into systems and maintain digital record of inventory and shipments.
- Use of warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and other relevant software to support day-to-day operations.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Diligent and conscientious in the accuracy of their work, excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience in warehousing/logistics is a distinct advantage.
- Comfortable using IT systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and technology commonly used in warehouse environments (e.g., WMS, scanners, basic data entry), with the ability to quickly learn other software tools such as SAP.
