Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and a proven track record in managing and mentoring technical teams. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of QA professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and career development.
- Establish and maintain a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.
Automation & Testing:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks.
- Lead efforts to enhance automation processes, ensuring that the team stays at the forefront of industry standards and technologies.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in automated testing, with a focus on reducing manual testing efforts and improving efficiency.
Quality Assurance Strategy:
- Develop and implement QA strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on delivering high-quality software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product Management, and Technical Support, to ensure seamless integration of quality practices across the organisation.
- Manage and report on key quality metrics, using data to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to quickly address and resolve complex quality issues.
- Ensure that customer-facing issues are thoroughly tested and resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Act as a point of contact for escalated quality issues, ensuring they are prioritised and addressed appropriately.
Continuous Improvement:
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team, with a focus on enhancing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, ensuring that the QA team remains competitive and forward-thinking.
- Lead projects aimed at improving automation coverage, reducing defects, and streamlining the QA process.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Expertise:
- 10+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on automation tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in developing and managing test automation frameworks, with experience in tools such as Playwright.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes, with hands-on experience in tools like Azure DevOps.
- Extensive experience in debugging, source control (e.g., Git), and integration testing.
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices in an agile development environment.
- Familiarity with API testing and related tools.
- STQB certification is a plus as is any additional certifications related to quality assurance or automation.
Leadership & Communication:
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading technical teams.
- Proven ability to lead by example, inspiring and motivating teams to achieve their best work.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships across various teams and departments.
