We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team in the Cork region. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the technical delivery of the project, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance, and supporting the successful coordination of works on site.
What You’ll Do
- Take responsibility for the delivery of the project’s technical requirements in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
- Carry out accurate setting out of the building structure and associated works.
- Liaise closely with the design team, subcontractors, and site management team to resolve technical queries and ensure the smooth progression of works.
- Manage and monitor the technical performance of subcontractors to ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation and communicate relevant information to site teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure all site quality testing, inspections, and validation activities are completed, recorded, and maintained in accordance with project requirements.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the project’s Quality Management System.
- Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards, BCAR requirements, and other applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate technical records, inspection records, and project documentation.
- Assist the project team in identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout the project.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Site Engineer role within the construction industry is desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building technology, drawings, specifications, and setting-out procedures.
- Experience working with subcontractors and design teams.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and construction quality requirements.
- Good understanding of BCAR and relevant Irish building regulations and standards.
- Strong technical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and construction software.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and manage multiple priorities.
- A valid Safe Pass and relevant construction-related qualifications.
