Role Overview
As a Process Control Room Operator, you will play a key role in overseeing and controlling automated production processes across the wet processing and drying phases. Working from the central control room, you will monitor system performance, respond to alarms, optimise production flow, and ensure all processes operate safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and control automated production systems through SCADA/HMI interfaces.
· Oversee wet processing and drying operations to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
· Respond to process alarms, faults, and operational deviations in a timely manner.
· Adjust process parameters as required to maintain production targets and specifications.
· Coordinate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational issues.
· Accurately record production data, process information, and shift reports.
· Conduct routine system checks and support troubleshooting activities.
· Ensure all operations comply with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and reliability.
· Support start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities within the production plant.
Requirements
· Previous experience in a manufacturing, process, automation, or production environment is preferred.
· Experience operating automated systems, control rooms, SCADA, PLC, or HMI platforms is advantageous.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to analyse process information and make informed operational decisions.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Comfortable working in a shift-based environment.
· Basic understanding of health, safety, and quality management systems.
· Ability to remain focused and responsive in a fast-paced operational environment.
