This is a hands-on, commercially focused role offering genuine flexibility and an excellent work-life balance. It is ideally suited to an experienced finance professional who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day running of a successful business while working reduced hours.
The position is predominantly home-based, with occasional attendance at our South Dublin office.
The Opportunity
This role is about far more than preparing accounts.
Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play an important role in helping to manage the financial performance of the business, providing commercial insight, ensuring strong financial controls and supporting strategic decision making.
You will have significant autonomy and become a trusted adviser to the management team.
Key Responsibilities
· Preparation of monthly management accounts.
· Preparation of weekly sales and financial reports for submission to the Group Head Office.
· Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
· Preparation, monitoring and reporting of annual budgets.
· Credit control oversight and proactive management of customer collections.
· Management of supplier payments and banking activities.
· Oversight of the finance administration function.
· General ledger reconciliations and month-end close.
· Preparation of VAT returns and other statutory reporting.
· Liaison with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers and banking partners.
· Sales margin and profitability analysis.
· Financial KPI reporting and business performance analysis.
· Stock valuation and inventory reporting where appropriate.
· Supporting the Managing Director with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
· Reviewing and improving financial systems, controls and reporting processes.
· Assisting with payroll oversight and general financial administration where required.
Pay: €49,461.37-€97,463.28 per year
