Job Description
Warehouse Operative
Hours
40hrs/week: 9 - 5.30 with a 30 minute unpaid daily lunch break
Job Responsibilities:
· Ensuring all outgoing orders are picked, packed and despatched accurately, in line with the company’s SOPs
· Ensuring all incoming deliveries are received in, and checked off, with accuracy and stored correctly in the correct locations
· Monitoring and controlling the company’s stock inventory with accuracy
· Liaising with Management efficiently in relation to outgoing/incoming orders
· Ensuring all workshop/production areas, warehouse, storerooms and shop front are kept clean and tidy at all times, and operating a “clean as you go” policy
· Maintaining a high level of health and safety standards at all times
· Maintaining a high level of attention to detail when picking, packing and despatching outgoing orders, and also when checking in and storing incoming deliveries
· Supporting colleagues and maintaining a positive working environment
· Having the ability to work overtime if required
· Assisting in other areas of the company when required
· Following and implementing the company’s procedures at all times
Skills & Experience:
· Flexible, reliable and hardworking, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
· Excellent time management is a necessity
· Ability to use own initiative with strong accuracy and attention to detail
· Previous warehouse experience would be desirable
· Good interpersonal skills
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
· Attention to detail and pick accuracy are paramount to the success of the role
· Ability to use the company’s IT systems where appropriate (Sage experience an advantage)
· Experience in manual labour (Manual handling cert an advantage)
· Excellent written and spoken English
· Current Forklift cert is an advantage
· Keen interest in Motor Industry an advantage
