Principal Architect (Remote – Ireland)

We are hiring a Principal Architect to join a high-growth software company delivering a next-generation platform for global enterprise clients.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role reporting to the CTO, where you will define architecture strategy, guide engineering teams, and drive the adoption of modern technologies including AI.Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities

Own and define overall software architecture and technical strategy
Design scalable, high-performance systems and APIs
Lead architectural decisions, reviews, and best practices
Drive cloud, DevOps, and system reliability improvements
Support AI/ML integration across the platform
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence

Requirements

10+ years in software engineering with senior architecture experience
Strong expertise in modern web and backend technologies (e.g., React, Java, Spring)
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP), APIs, and distributed systems
Solid understanding of security, scalability, and system design
Strong leadership and communication skills
