We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Social Care Workers to join Children’s Residential Services. Due to continued service expansion, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced team committed to helping young people during some of the most vulnerable periods of their lives.
In this role, you will work within a residential setting, providing high-quality care and building positive, therapeutic relationships that support each young person’s development and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Care Planning & Implementation
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of Care and Placement Plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Advocacy & Rights
- Promote and uphold the rights and responsibilities of each young person
- Support participation in decisions that affect their lives
Wellbeing & Development
- Support the physical, emotional, social, educational, and (where appropriate) religious welfare of young people
- Encourage engagement in education, personal development, and goal setting
Daily Living Support
- Assist with managing personal affairs, including documentation, appointments, and finances
- Engage young people in age-appropriate activities and social development
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with families, carers, and external agencies
- Attend and contribute to relevant meetings regarding care and development
- Report regularly to the Social Care Leader/Manager
Safeguarding & Compliance
- Adhere to child protection procedures and act as a designated officer when required
- Conduct physical interventions in line with policies and procedures
- Maintain knowledge of current legislation and best practice standards, including Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards
Professional Practice
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
- Comply with and contribute to policies, procedures, and safe professional practice standards

Job Requirements:
- Registered with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU
or
- Hold a CORU-approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence required)

- Eligible for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board maintained by CORU (evidence required)
