Our client is seeking a Policy and Research Officer to join a professional services organisation based in Dublin 2. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in policy, research, public affairs or advocacy who has a strong interest in European affairs, public policy, political developments and policy analysis. This permanent hybrid role offers the opportunity to produce high-quality research, policy briefings and communications while engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.
Location: Dublin 2 (Hybrid)
Salary: €30,000–€39,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
The Opportunity
- Monitor and analyse Irish, European and public policy developments.
- Produce policy research, reports, briefing papers, speeches and communications.
- Prepare concise policy explainers and research outputs for a range of audiences.
- Support stakeholder engagement, advocacy and outreach initiatives.
- Represent the organisation at meetings, conferences and public events.
- Collaborate with colleagues across policy, communications and engagement functions.
- Keep up to date with political, economic and policy developments.
About You
- Degree in Politics, Public Policy, European Studies, Law, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum one year's experience in policy, research, public affairs, advocacy or a similar role.
- Strong research, analytical and report writing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good IT skills.
- Experience of digital communications would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of EU institutions and European policy is desirable.
- Irish language skills and a full driving licence are advantageous.
