Bon Chocolatier is a small, independent Irish chocolate company known for creating premium, handmade chocolate products. We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Production Assistant to join our growing team.
This is not just a production role, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of our chocolate kitchen and factory, helping with everything from preparing batches to cleaning down equipment, organising ingredients, assisting with stock takes, and keeping the space running smoothly. It's a dynamic, varied role that suits someone who enjoys working in a creative food production environment and being part of a team where everyone pitches in.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist in the production of handmade truffles, bars, chocolates and seasonal items
Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Help clean down machines, benches, and work areas daily
Organise and maintain ingredient storage areas
Support with stock takes and restocking production supplies
Package chocolates carefully and consistently, ensuring high presentation standards
Label, pack, and box finished products accurately
Follow HACCP and food safety procedures at all times
Contribute to a clean, tidy, and efficient production space
Be open to learning and helping new procedures wherever needed
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
Good attention to detail
Comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen or production setting
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Fluent English (spoken and written) is essential for following instructions, recipes, and safety procedures
Willingness to learn and take on instruction
An interest in chocolate, pastry, or artisanal food
Desirable (but not required):
Previous experience in a kitchen, bakery, or food production environment
Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, or HACCP
