Part-Time Customer Service Assistant – The ZipYard Galway

The ZipYard Galway is looking for a friendly, organised, and customer-focused Part-Time Customer Service Assistant to join our team.
If you enjoy working with people, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a busy retail environment, we’d love to hear from you. As the first point of contact for our customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service while supporting the day-to-day running of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and providing a warm, professional welcome.
- Discussing customers’ alteration requirements and accurately booking garments into our system.
- Processing payments and operating the till.
- Managing customer collections and ensuring garments are returned correctly.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.
- Supporting the seamstress team with general administrative and customer service duties.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, positive, and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Basic computer skills and confidence using a till system.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
Hours:Part-time, permanent position with flexible hours available. Saturday availability may be required.
