HSQE Advisor – Kildare
The HSQE Advisor will support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards across construction and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams and management to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive health, safety, quality, and environmental culture across projects.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HSQE policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide HSQE guidance and support to project teams and subcontractors.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training as required.
- Monitor compliance with legal, client, and company HSQE requirements.
- Maintain accurate HSQE records, reports, and documentation.
- Support environmental management initiatives and sustainability objectives.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and external auditors when required.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years’ experience in an HSQE role within construction, civil engineering, utilities, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
- Authorised to work in Ireland.
Desirable
- Membership of IOSH, IEMA, or a relevant professional body.
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Internal Auditor qualification.
