Dain Away Ireland is expanding our operations and we’re looking for a reliable, Van Driver / Drain Engineer to join our team. This role will suit someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and delivering excellent service to domestic, commercial, and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to carry out drain unblocking, CCTV surveys, and maintenance works
- Operate jetting equipment, CCTV cameras, and other drainage tools (training provided)
- Pipe laying and general groundwork
- Safely drive company vans to and from jobs across the country
- Complete job sheets, reports, and customer sign‑offs using mobile apps
- Communicate professionally with customers and represent the company brand
- Follow all health & safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hygiene protocols
- Assist with emergency call‑outs when required (rota basis)
Requirements
- Full clean Irish B driving licence (C, licence an advantage)
- Experience in drainage, plumbing, construction, or similar trades is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem‑solving skills and a practical mindset
- Comfortable with manual labour
- Fluent English, strong communication and customer‑service skills
- Willingness to learn and complete training
- Weekend availability
