Role overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating our ice production machinery and packaging machines ensuring efficient production processes. As well as maintaining quality standards and completing all required quality check paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Operate and monitor ice manufacturing machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate packing machinery to ensure efficient production.
- Ensure all products meet quality, food safety, and customer specifications through regular inspections and quality checks.
- Accurately fill out and maintain quality check paperwork to document product quality and compliance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate equipment faults, carrying out minor adjustments where appropriate.
- Accurately label, palletise, and prepare finished goods for dispatch.
- Record and report production data accurately.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, and compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading of stock as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader / Machine Operator or in a similar food manufacturing role is preferred.
- Basic mechanical skills and the ability to perform minor repairs on machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed.
Please note we have two shifts which rotate on a weekly basis .
6am to 2pm
2pm to 10pm
