Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of a company director and contribute to various project phases, including planning, design, and implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to grow their career in engineering consulting from a junior role.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct research and gather data for project development.
- Perform calculations and analysis to support engineering decisions.
- Participate in site visits and inspections.
- Document project activities and maintain records.
- Collaborate with team members and project management of design team.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Structural).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing, proofing and word processing skills.
- Strong spreadsheet skills, programming knowledge a bonus.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g. Civil 3D, Revit, Infodrainage, Robot Structural Analysis).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in an engineering field.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
