Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our store. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Customer Service: Greeting customers with a smile and helping them find what they need.
- Till Operation: Scanning items quickly and accurately, handling cash and card payments.
- Stock Management: Re-stocking shelves, managing stock rotation (FIFO) to ensure freshness, and keeping displays looking sharp.
- Deli/Coffee Station : Assisting with basic food prep, maintaining high food hygiene standards (HACCP), and keeping the coffee machine ready to go.
- Legal Compliance: Strictly adhering to Irish laws regarding age-restricted sales (Alcohol, Tobacco, National Lottery) by checking valid IDs (Garda Age Card, Passport, Driving License).
- Store Cleanliness: Keeping the shop floor, counters, and stockroom clean, tidy, and safe for everyone.
What We Are Looking For

- Reliability: Punctuality is key—our team and our customers rely on you.
- Communication Skills: Fluent English is required to assist customers and communicate effectively with the team.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings (e.g., 6:30 AM starts) or late finishes, and weekends.
- Experience: Previous retail, grocery, or hospitality experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
