About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to develop their technical knowledge and gain hands-on experience working on complex mechanical building services projects alongside experienced industry professionals.
The successful candidate will support project delivery through design coordination, technical documentation, site activities, and commissioning support. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients, contributing to the successful delivery of projects while building a strong foundation for your engineering career. This role is based in Dublin and will be an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the design, coordination, and installation of mechanical building services systems.
Support project engineers and site teams in preparing and maintaining technical documentation and drawings.
Monitor project progress and help ensure works are completed to required quality, safety, and technical standards.
Assist in reviewing technical information, specifications, and engineering documentation.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.
Support procurement activities by assisting with material and equipment tracking.
Participate in site inspections and quality assurance activities.
Assist with commissioning, testing, and project handover activities.
Attend project meetings and contribute to progress reporting and project coordination.
Maintain accurate project records and support compliance with company procedures and standards.
Qualifications
Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong interest in mechanical building services and construction project delivery.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications and engineering software.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Previous internship, placement, or site experience within construction or engineering would be advantageous.
