Core Duties & Responsibilities
Reception & Communication:
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and pupils. Handling inquiries via phone, email, and post, and managing school texts/apps.
Student Administration: Maintaining the Department of Education database (OLCS), processing admissions, managing attendance records, and handling pupil transfers.
Financial Management: Collecting and processing school payments, maintaining accounts, managing payroll (in some cases), and assisting the Board of Management's Finance Sub-Committee.
General Administration: Photocopying, ordering stationary and teaching supplies, booking buses for tours, and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
Compliance: Ensuring strict GDPR compliance and handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Standard Requirements & QualificationsEducation: Typically requires a minimum of a Leaving Certificate (with specific grade requirements) or equivalent relevant administrative experience.
IT Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, school management systems (like VsWare or Aladdin), and online payment platforms (like WaytoPay).
Vetting & Training: Applicants must pass Garda Vetting and typically complete TUSLA Child Protection training before employment.
Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Pay: From €16.54 per hour
Work Location: In person
