Job Title: Paint Assistant
Job Purpose: Responsible for supporting the sales team and delivering a high-quality customer experience through excellent sales and after-sales service.
Reporting to: Retail Store Manager
Location: O'Brien Street, Tipperary Town
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

Customer service - continuously interact with and ensure that customers receive a high-quality service at all times.
- Maintain the Diy/Light hardware area to the highest standard

Continuous market research to ensure we provide best product range for our customer needs.

Stock promotion - work with the General Manager to promote key stock items and ensure the proper display of promotional items in line with the promotional company

Dealing with all customer queries including telephone queries, in an efficient and professional manner.

Ordering restocking display areas and maintaining a high standard of store presentation in line with our Health and Safety procedures

Conduct sales transactions through to completion including entering new sales orders and taking payments from accounts

Deal with after sales queries including exchanges, credit notes, refunds etc.

Cash register and payment operations including floating the till, recording cheques, emptying the till as per company and management guidelines as required. Lodgement processing and totalling.

Processing of invoices and related documentation, postage

Collect customer information, provide product information and direct customers to other products as required

Deal with returns to reps/suppliers when necessary

Be flexible in all areas of the store

Taking direction from the store manager for tasks delegated
-
To make sure all health and safety procedures are carried out daily on site.
- To achieve Key performance indicators set by the store manager
Qualifications and Experience required for this role:

Proven experience in a customer-facing role

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience within the DIY and/or paint sector
