We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team, working on civil engineering and infrastructure projects throughout County Laois and surrounding counties.
The successful candidate will operate excavators on a range of projects, including public roadworks, utilities, drainage, road construction and footpath works.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate excavators on civil engineering and road projects.
- Carry out excavation and trenching works for utilities and drainage.
- Assist with road construction, reinstatement and maintenance works.
- Work on footpath and public realm projects.
- Operate machinery in and around live public roads while following all site safety and traffic management requirements.
- Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with groundworkers, site supervisors and other plant operators.
- Maintain a high standard of health, safety and housekeeping on site.
- Follow all company procedures and project specifications.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating excavators on civil engineering or roadworks projects.
- Experience working on public roads, utilities and drainage is highly desirable.
- Valid CSCS/CSR or equivalent excavator operator qualification.
- Safe Pass required.
- Good understanding of site safety and working around live traffic.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Full driving licence is an advantage.
- Reliability, good communication and a strong work ethic.
