THE ROLE
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Health & Safety professionals and gain further hands-on experience in consultancy, construction safety and workplace compliance.
Key duties will include:
- Assisting with Health & Safety inspections and audits
- Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Assisting with the preparation and review of Safety Statements
- Supporting the delivery of PSCS and PSDP services
- Assisting with Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans and project documentation
- Preparing professional site inspection and audit reports
- Providing Health & Safety support to clients and contractors
- Assisting with accident, incident and near-miss investigations
- Monitoring compliance with site safety requirements
- Maintaining Health & Safety records and documentation
- Assisting with Health & Safety training where required
- Undertaking other reasonable duties as requested by Company Management
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
✓ Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline
✓ Minimum 6 months' practical experience in a Health & Safety role
✓ Good understanding of Irish Health & Safety legislation
✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✓ Good report-writing and IT skills
✓ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✓ Professional and practical approach to Health & Safety
✓ Full driving licence
✓ Willingness to travel as required
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Additional qualifications would be an advantage, particularly:
✓ Manual Handling Instructor
✓ Work at Height Instructor
✓ Abrasive Wheels Instructor
✓ First Aid qualification
✓ Safe Pass
✓ Other recognised Health & Safety or instructor qualifications
