Job Description:
As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation in line with hygiene and safety standards.
- Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Store food items properly and monitor stock levels to reduce waste.
- Assist with receiving and checking deliveries.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hotel policies at all times.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
Skills/Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Minimum 12 months valid work permit required
