Main Purpose of Job: To supply linen and guest supplies to all Accommodation Assistants. To ensure cleanliness of bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas.
Main Responsibilities:
Accommodation Operations
Supplying linen and guest supplies to all accommodation assistants.
Cleaning of allocated bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas including corridors.
Operating any machinery correctly, ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures at all times.
Bringing guest luggage to and from bedrooms when required.
Clearing all floors of soiled linen, room service trays and rubbish.
Adhering to all recycling procedures in place within the department and the hotel when disposing of waste.
Carrying out regular stock takes of linen and supplies.
To ensure that the linen room is kept neat and tidy at all times and is hazardous free.
Being security conscious at all times while on duty.
Carrying out routine cleaning of designated areas such as changing rooms and staff canteens when required.
Customer Service
Providing an efficient and friendly service to guests at all times.
Following the Mespil Hotel key standards at all times.
Handling any guest requests as required.
Maintaining a positive, friendly attitude with both hotel guests and your colleagues.
Health and Safety
Abiding by the hotels health, safety and environmental procedures.
Reporting any health, safety or environmental hazards within the hotel.
Reporting any accidents, incidents and near misses that arise while on duty.
Where necessary, wearing personal protective equipment when cleaning e.g. rubber gloves, masks, eye goggles.
Presentation and Grooming
Wearing the correct uniform at all times while on duty.
Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times.
Other Duties
Attending any relevant training courses as required.
Option of serving on hotel committees when required.
Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Management.
Assisting when necessary in other departments.
