About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Curtain and Blind Sales Consultant to join our Naas showroom. This is a role for someone who already knows the world of made-to-measure window treatments — someone who can confidently guide a customer from initial consultation through to final installation, and who can prepare accurate quotations independently from day one.
You'll bring genuine depth of product knowledge to every conversation: fabric types and suitability, heading styles, linings, and how to match the right solution to each customer's home and budget. The role is fully showroom-based — all consultations take place in-store, working from customer-provided measurements, with no home visits required. In return, you'll work alongside a close-knit team in a respected family business where your expertise will be valued and trusted.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Consultation
- Lead in-depth consultations with customers, advising on fabric selection, heading styles, linings, and design combinations for made-to-measure curtains and Roman blinds
- Apply a strong eye for interior design and current home décor trends to guide customers to the right solution for their space
- Welcome and engage every customer, ensuring a consistently excellent showroom experience
Sales & Quotations
- Own the complete sales cycle from initial enquiry to completed installation
- Interpret customer-provided window measurements and prepare accurate, competitive made-to-measure quotations independently
- Respond professionally to enquiries and quote requests from in-store customers and online channels
- Communicate confidently with customers in person, by phone, and in writing
Order Fulfilment
- Manage in-store and online orders with meticulous attention to detail
- Liaise with our workroom, delivery team, and fitters to ensure orders are scheduled, made, and installed on time
- Process fabric sample requests efficiently
Operations Support
- Contribute to the smooth running of the store, including stock management, register operation, and opening/closing procedures
- Merchandise the showroom during quieter periods to maintain an inspiring shopping environment
Qualifications & SkillsRequired
- Minimum 3 years' experience in curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, or interiors retail sales
- Proven experience preparing made-to-measure quotations from customer requirements and measurements
- Strong working knowledge of fabrics, window treatment styles, headings, and linings
- Track record of managing a full sales cycle from consultation to completion
- Excellent communication skills, in person and written
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently with sound judgement
- Meticulous attention to detail, including accuracy with money handling and quotations
- Comfortable with common internet technologies and point-of-sale systems
Desired
- Experience in a consultation-led or design-led retail environment
- Knowledge of the Irish interiors and soft furnishings market
- Experience liaising with workrooms, fitters, or trade customers
