About the Role
Biocore is a well-established and fast-growing company in the industrial renewable/process sector in Roscommon. This position is designed to strengthen the plant’s maintenance strategy, contractor coordination, and operational monitoring. The company is currently undergoing significant growth, with plans to double the size of the site and bring several new plants online in the near future.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor plant performance via SCADA systems and proactively identify issues such as system faults, pressure anomalies, and equipment alerts.
- Liaise with engine maintenance contractors for scheduled servicing, troubleshooting, and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Develop and maintain the facility’s preventative maintenance plan, including procedures, part replacements, and documentation.
- Manage tracking and ordering of critical spare parts for mechanical plant systems (e.g.,pumps, mixers, motors, valves).
- Coordinate closely with internal operations staff to support daily plant performance and reliability.
- Ensure procedures and contractor activities meet operational and safety standards.
- Contribute to operational readiness and planning for upcoming site expansion.
- Participate in a light on-call rota (1 week in every 4).
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree (mechanical/process/electrical) with 1+ year experience preferred
- OR 5–6 years of experience as a technician in a process, utilities, or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of plant equipment such as pumps, mixers, gearboxes, and associated mechanical systems
- Experience with SCADA or process monitoring systems
- Understanding of industrial engine/generator systems is an advantage
- Proven ability to coordinate contractors, write procedures, and maintain maintenance schedules
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working with Excel and basic maintenance tracking tools
- Full driving licence require
Pay: €35,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
