Job description:
As a General Operative working on a slaughterline , you will be responsible for:-
- Work as part of a team in the factory area, slaughterline slaughtering animals , duties will include packing meat products and slaughtering animals to individual customer specification on a fast paced production line. experience working on a beef slaughterline will be a advantage .
- Working to daily and weekly production targets.
- Assist in the production area & continually provide support to the production team as a whole.
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the factory as & when required.
- Continually keep good housekeeping standards in all areas, clean as you go policy.
- Keep up to date knowledge of all products & customer specifications.
- Keep up to date with all training to ensure you are trained to complete your day to day role.
- Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures in all areas.
- Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards.
- Being adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
- Undertake flexible working hours over five days to meet deadline.
- Able work in a physically demanding role lifting and standing over long periods of time
- Working in a chilled and ambient environment.
- Using manual pallet truck equipment for picking and packing orders
- Helping to support and train new colleagues or colleagues that are new at particular position
- Please note , this job will be physically demanding and will involve manual work, standing lifting , training in manual handling will be a advantage .
