HeyDay is seeking an experienced, high-caliber Event Hospitality Manager to oversee our front-of-house operations across a busy schedule of premium summer events in Dublin. In this role, you will hold ultimate accountability for the success of our hospitality delivery, managing on-site supervisors, large teams of wait staff, and the overall guest experience.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly organized professional with extensive hospitality management experience, capable of running large-scale functions flawlessly while maintaining strong client relationships under pressure.
Event Description
Starting immediately, we have an exciting calendar of summer events lined up, ranging from high-profile public gatherings to exclusive, private functions. This role offers the opportunity to steer the operational success of major events, lead a large temporary workforce, and represent HeyDay at some of Dublin's most prestigious venues.
Job Responsibilities
As an Event Hospitality Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operational Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of front-of-house hospitality operations, ensuring seamless food, beverage, and banqueting service.
- Workforce Leadership: Direct and support on-site Supervisors to ensure wait staff are effectively briefed, assigned to sections, motivated, and performing to HeyDay’s standards.
- Client & Venue Liaison: Act as the primary, polished point of contact for clients, venue managers, and culinary teams to align on event timelines and requirements.
- Quality & Standards Control: Uphold the highest standards of presentation, service speed, and hygiene across the entire venue floor; conduct final checks on staff uniforms and grooming.
- Problem Solving & Logistics: Troubleshoot real-time operational challenges, manage staff allocations/rotas on-site, and handle complex guest or client feedback with absolute professionalism.
- Reporting: Manage staff sign-ins/sign-outs, monitor hours, and provide post-event reports to the HeyDay core management team.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of three to five years of hospitality management experience, specifically overseeing large-scale events, banquets, or high-volume premium venues.
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing supervisors and large, diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
- Language: Full proficiency in the English language with exceptional communication skills.
- Skills: Advanced organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-management capabilities.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to professional uniform requirements and a calm, authoritative presence.
- Legal: Legally authorized to work in Ireland.
