Wine Bar Team Member - Fridays & Saturday Evenings

We're looking for an experienced wine bar person to join our small team for Friday and Saturday evening/night shifts (12 hours per week).
Sheridans has been championing exceptional cheese and wine since our early days at Galway market. Our wine bar features new and old-world wines with an emphasis on natural and biodynamic styles - all imported and selected directly by Sheridans from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria and Germany, paired with the cheese we're known for.

Provide outstanding customer service, sharing your enthusiasm for great wine and cheese

Offer personalised wine and cheese recommendations, guiding guests through pairings and selections

Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting bar and counter area

Assist with wine and cheese tastings, events, and in-store experiences

Handle service with care and attention to quality, presentation, and current alcohol regulations

Support stock rotation and restocking to maintain freshness and consistency

Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times

At least 1 year's experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality, wine retail, or a vineyard

Genuine passion for and strong working knowledge of wine, with a real interest in cheese and food pairing

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Organised, confident, and calm under pressure

Comfortable working independently during evening/night service

HACCP and WSET training preferable but not essential

Sommelier certification or a hospitality qualification desirable but not essential

Available Friday and Saturday evenings, including late nights, on a consistent basis
Location: The Old Forge, Carnaross near Kells, Co. Meath - please note this is a rural location, so your own transport is recommended.
Hours: 12-16 hours per week, Fri & Sat evenings/nights
