ABOUT US
Busker Brownes Bar & Kirbys Restaurant sits in the heart of Galway City's Latin Quarter, on Cross Street Upper. Spread across several distinctive bars and spaces, including the Slatehouse, the Hall and Upstairs at Kirby's, we are a busy, lively venue known for great food, live music and a proper Galway welcome that runs late into the night. We are a close-knit team that takes real pride in looking after our guests and in the atmosphere we create together.
THE ROLE
We are looking for experienced Waiting Staff to deliver warm, professional service across our restaurant and bar floor. You will guide guests through our international menu, look after tables with care and play a key part in the lively, welcoming atmosphere that brings people back to Busker Brownes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and seat guests warmly and look after them throughout their visit
- Take food and drink orders accurately and advise guests on the menu
- Deliver food and drinks promptly and to a high standard during busy service
- Maintain clean, well-presented tables and floor areas at all times
- Operate the till accurately and handle cash and card payments responsibly
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to keep service running smoothly
- Respond to guest requests and resolve any issues calmly and professionally
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2–3 years' waiting experience, ideally in a busy restaurant or bar
- Good food and drink knowledge and confidence advising guests
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Well organised, punctual and a strong team player
- A friendly, professional manner and genuine pride in great service
- Good command of English
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late shifts
Pay: €13.50-€17.00 per hour
