Part-Time Bookkeeper

About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper looking for flexible working arrangements and offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems.
- Process purchase invoices, supplier payments, and customer receipts.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with other statutory filings.
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records (if applicable).
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial information.
- Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external accountants.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information at all times.
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Previous bookkeeping experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Desirable:
- IATI, AAT, Accounting Technician, or equivalent bookkeeping qualification.
- Experience in a small business environment.
- Payroll and VAT experience.

- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Professional and discreet when handling sensitive information.
