Blackpool Kitchens is seeking an experienced and reliable Workshop Assembler to join our growing team in Dublin Hill, Cork.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll primarily be responsible for assembling our high-quality kitchens and bedroom furniture in our workshop. In addition to production work, you'll assist with deliveries, loading and unloading products, and supporting the team with general day-to-day tasks as required.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, enjoys working as part of a team, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble kitchens and bedroom furniture to a consistently high standard.
- Read and follow production drawings and specifications.
- Prepare completed units for delivery.
- Deliver products to customers and construction sites using the company van.
- Load and unload kitchens and wardrobes safely and efficiently.
- Assist with moving furniture into customers' homes and building sites, which may involve a full day of manual handling.
- Support colleagues with general workshop duties and other tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience assembling kitchens, bedrooms or similar fitted furniture.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Must be eligible to drive the company vehicle under our motor insurance policy.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks across the business.
Preferred Experience
- Forklift licence or previous forklift experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, cabinetry or furniture production environment.
- Valid Safe Pass certification (preferred but not essential).
- Valid Manual Handling certificate (preferred but not essential).
