With a operations continuing to expand across Ireland, we are looking for an experienced and organised Payroll Administrator to join our team in Longford.
The Role
The Payroll Administrator will take responsibility for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and associated payroll administration across the business.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, comfortable working with deadlines and enjoys ensuring that payroll information is accurate and properly maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and/or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Review employee hours, timesheets, overtime, allowances, bonuses and deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure new starters, leavers and changes are processed correctly.
- Process holiday pay, sick leave and other employee absences.
- Prepare and submit payroll information and statutory returns as required.
- Liaise with Revenue and ensure payroll remains compliant with current Irish payroll legislation.
- Reconcile payroll and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records relating to pensions, benefits and employee deductions.
- Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with Accounts, HR and Operations to ensure payroll information is complete and accurate.
- Assist with general HR and payroll administration when required.
- Support improvements to payroll processes and reporting as the company continues to grow.
The Person
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in Irish payroll administration.
- Familiar with PAYE Modernisation and Revenue payroll requirements.
- Highly accurate with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable processing payroll for a workforce that includes hourly-paid, salaried and operational employees.
- Confident working with timesheets, overtime and variable weekly hours.
- Strong with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
- Organised and capable of working to strict weekly deadlines.
- Discreet and professional when handling confidential employee information.
- Comfortable working independently while also being part of a busy Accounts and HR team.
A recognised payroll qualification such as IPASS would be an advantage but is not essential where the candidate has strong practical payroll experience.
