Old Barracks Coffee Roastery is creating a state-of-the-art specialty coffee destination on the Dock Road in Limerick City, bringing together coffee roasting, education, retail, and hospitality in one unique space.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Barista Supervisor to join our cafe team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys specialty coffee, leading a team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As Barista Supervisor, you will support the daily running of the cafe, maintain high coffee standards, and help develop a strong and positive team culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Support daily cafe operations and supervise the barista team.
- Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee to Old Barracks standards.
- Train and support junior baristas.
- Ensure consistency in coffee quality, service, and presentation.
- Support opening and closing procedures and daily team organisation.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Assist with stock control and smooth cafe operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a barista with supervisory or team-leading experience.
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty coffee.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A passion for quality coffee and hospitality.
- Ability to work confidently in a busy cafe environment.
The role is daytime focused. We operate a 7-day retail business, with our coffee bar open from 7am–5pm.
