Air Handling Unit (AHU) Product Engineer - Job Specification
With a strong Data Centre project pipeline and continued expansion of our product offerings and markets, we are seeking an Air handling unit (AHU) product Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a person with manufacturing or product engineering experience related to building services, HVAC or data centre construction. Based in our Dublin office with some requirements to travel.
Duties and Responsibilities

Working closely with senior management team you will be required to administer and coordinate a portfolio of Air handling Units products and initiatives.
- The ability to develop and manage a detailed project delivery schedule and work plan.
- Develop product initiatives that are strategically prioritised based on business impact, customer value and resource availability.
- Liaise between clients and manufacturing which will involve occasional visits to our manufacturing facilities and client sites.

Assist in assessment of the competitive landscape, understand customer needs and trends to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Product feasibility studies and engineering input into new product development, testing and certification.

Assist with product strategy, roadmap, timeline for delivery, expected outcomes and progress updates to internal stakeholders and senior leadership regularly to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives

Drive sustainability and compliance using low carbon, eco-friendly materials, assist with the establishment of a diverse and robust supply chain and energy-efficient manufacturing processes.
- Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.

Ensuring the product and project's compliance with the applicable regulations, codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications, while addressing the specific needs of global customers and markets.
- Managing and controlling product drawings, documents and project scope.
- Site surveys, resource forecasting and budgeting input.
- Assisting with technical submittals following detailed project approval processes.

Identify, create and define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of product initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Air handling Unit design, selection and manufacturing.

3rd level engineering degree (mechanical / building services / electrical).

Self-motivated you will be required to work on your own initiative to solve problems and suggest solutions.
- A technical and analytical mindset is required with a strong focus on integrating user insights into product development and solving problems.

A willingness to travel occasionally as needed (mostly in Europe).
- Experience in manufacturing or product development in building services, HVAC or data centre industry preferred.
- PC literate and MS Office proficient to log and report site visits.

Familiar with reviewing CAD, BIM / Revit / Solid works preferred.

Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelines.

Valid EU working rights / visa required.

An ability to manage expectations and to communicate technical information.
- An understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, revenue forecasting and ROI analysis and strategic prioritisation to maximise profitability and growth.
- An Understanding of product architecture, development processes and the ability to work effectively with design, engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure technical feasibility and scalability.

The ability to identify opportunities for differentiation and market leadership with an appetite to explore new ideas and experimentation.

Skilled at working across teams (e.g. engineering, operations, marketing, sales) to align efforts and builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
