Cpl Healthcare is searching for several caring, experienced, and motivated Directors of Nursing (DONs) to join a variety of nursing homes across Ireland.
In this role, you will play a key part in creating a positive, person-centred environment where residents feel valued and supported, and where nurses feel encouraged and empowered to do their best work. You will guide the clinical and day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care in line with HIQA and Irish healthcare regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide clinical leadership to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care and maintain high standards across all nursing practices
- Drive quality improvement through audit, risk management, and oversight of care planning and clinical outcomes
- Lead safeguarding practices, infection prevention and control, and medication management systems
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, the Health Act 2007, and all regulatory and organisational requirements, including inspections and reporting
- Lead and support nursing and care teams, promoting a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, staffing levels, and staff development
- Support the effective day-to-day operation of the service, including resource management and strategic planning
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across the service
- Promote health and safety compliance and a culture of risk awareness
About You
- Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
- Significant experience in a senior nursing management or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and Irish regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and decision-making capability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Salary: €75,000 - €95,000 plus bonus (dependent on employer and experience)
- Annual leave: 5 weeks
- Garda Vetting: fully paid
