About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team at Maxol. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining high store standards, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the store. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
- Replenish shelves and ensure products are well-stocked and attractively displayed.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
- Check deliveries and assist with stock rotation in line with food safety standards.
- Prepare and serve deli or coffee products (where applicable) in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shop, deli, and customer areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company policies.
- Assist customers with queries, promotions, and product information.
- Help prevent stock loss by following security procedures.
- Work as part of a team to achieve sales targets and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the Store Manager.

Pay: €14.15 per hour
