Role Overview

Working Week: 40 hours per week with an 8-hour standard working day

Service Hub: Mullingar area, Co. Westmeath

Salary Scale: €55,000 to €65,000 depending on experience
Role Responsibilities
Based in the Mullingar area, the Community Outreach Manager will lead the development and delivery of a flexible Outreach Day service for children with physical and intellectual disabilities. The Manager will be responsible for the effective operational management and administration of the service to include budget management, staffing and quality of care. Key responsibilities include:

Manage the delivery of person-centred care in line with Lotus Care's ethos and values

Build and manage a team of social care staff to support children to live self-determined lives

Foster a welcoming, caring environment ensuring children are treated with dignity and respect

Manage staff rosters to take account of children's needs ensuring efficiency and value

Work closely with the commissioners of service and Lotus Care management

Communicate with all stakeholders including families, MDT (internal & external), community, etc

Oversee the assessments of each child's needs and create informed care plans

Create daily plans, children's activities and fun events that engage, develop and stimulate.

Implement support systems that are clinically informed and safeguard health and wellbeing

Ensure service compliance with relevant standards and internal policy and procedures
- Act as, or support, the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) for the service

Manage medication storage, documentation and administration in line with Lotus Care policy

Manage the annual budget prudently; account for actual spend versus budget monthly
-
Manage transport options ensuring child safety and logistics efficiency
Ensure the service hub is clean and tidy, and care equipment is maintained and used safely

Role Requirements
-
3rd level qualification in a health/social care discipline
-
Minimum 5 years full-time social care experience with children and or adults in the ID sector.

Relevant management experience relating to the role
-
Have a working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to ID services
-
Up-to-date Children First and safeguarding training, or willingness to complete on appointment

Excellent communication skills & ICT proficiency

Experience of service evaluation and planning

Ability to deliver results through effective collaboration
- Hold a full clean driving license and access to a car

Garda Vetting and Police Clearance if applicable
