We are seeking an experienced Hardware Asset Manager to join our Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team supporting enterprise data center and corporate environments. This role will work collaboratively within a team-based operational environment to support the full lifecycle of hardware assets, including procurement, leasing, inventory management, disposals, RMAs, reporting, warehouse operations, and day-to-day operational activities.
The ideal candidate will partner closely with fellow Asset Managers, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, vendors, and other cross-functional teams to help ensure efficient coordination, operational continuity, and high-quality asset management services across multiple locations. This position is an integral part of a larger operational support team focused on maintaining accurate asset data, meeting SLA commitments, improving operational processes, and delivering exceptional lifecycle management support.
The candidate will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to support procurement operations, asset tracking, reporting, hardware logistics, and operational excellence initiatives while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced, and customer-focused team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle management activities for both data center infrastructure and end user assets, including procurement, leasing, inventory tracking, RMAs, disposals, and asset transfers.
Manage daily operational activities such as hardware receiving, asset tagging, shipping, warehouse coordination, inventory management, and documentation maintenance for both data center and end user equipment.
Coordinate domestic and international hardware logistics, including inter-company, intra-company, and RMA shipments while ensuring inventory accuracy and timely processing.
Maintain accurate asset databases, perform reconciliations, and support data integrity initiatives, audits, asset location verification, and scanning projects across enterprise hardware environments.
Prepare and maintain operational reports and metrics related to purchasing, leasing, inventory, disposals, RMAs, and SLA/KPI performance.
Partner with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support operational alignment and efficient lifecycle management processes.
Support vendor coordination, spare parts management, and warehouse/dock operations across supported locations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, reporting automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on operational excellence, customer service, and accurate asset management for both data center and end user hardware assets.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in Asset Lifecycle Management, IT Asset Management, Data Center Operations, Logistics, or similar operational environments.
Experience managing hardware procurement, leasing, inventory tracking, asset disposals, and RMA processes.
Experience supporting warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory management activities.
Experience preparing and managing operational reporting, metrics, reconciliations, and asset data analysis.
Experience working in enterprise data center environments and supporting end user hardware assets preferred.
Experience supporting multi-site operational environments preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to support operational execution in fast-paced environments.
- Solid understanding of asset lifecycle management, inventory control, procurement, lease management, and hardware logistics processes.
- Experience working with ServiceNow, ERP systems, asset management platforms, or other ITSM tools.
- Strong understanding of operational reporting, metrics analysis, SLA/KPI management, and reporting automation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong focus on data integrity, process compliance, and inventory accuracy.
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify and support process improvement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, reporting tools, and project tracking applications.
Experience presenting operational updates, reporting metrics, and project status to leadership teams and stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to develop trusted partnerships across teams.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments, external vendors, and cross-functional operational partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Strong coordination and collaboration skills within team-oriented and cross-functional environments.
