Job Description – Social Care Assistant
NexaCare Staffing Solutions are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion while supporting individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life in line with their individual support plans and relevant healthcare legislation and national standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred care and support that promotes independence, dignity, respect, and individual choice.
- Assist individuals with personal care, daily living activities, mobility, communication, and community participation as required.
- Support individuals to achieve their personal goals and maximise their independence.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records in accordance with organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Safeguard the welfare and rights of individuals by recognising and reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control, medication management, health and safety, and risk management policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, consistent care.
- Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development to maintain high standards of practice.
- Uphold the values of equality, inclusion, respect, and person-centred care in all aspects of the role.
Essential Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Community Care, Social Care, or a related field (or working towards).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays if required.
- Full driving license and access to own transport is desirable.
Pay: €17.50-€19.00 per hour
