About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the safe and efficient delivery of mechanical installation projects across Ireland and Europe. This role is responsible for coordinating site operations, managing labour and subcontractors, and ensuring works are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams, you will play a key role in driving project performance, maintaining programme schedules, and supporting successful project delivery in fast-paced construction environments. This role is based across Ireland and Europe and will be an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead weekly toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture and effective site communication.
Prepare and submit weekly progress reports highlighting achievements, risks, and project challenges.
Coordinate mechanical works with other trades to ensure efficient site operations and programme adherence.
Develop and maintain two-week lookahead schedules to support proactive project planning.
Ensure labour resources are effectively allocated to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Maintain high-quality standards across all mechanical installations and associated works.
Monitor and manage subcontractor performance to maximise productivity and quality.
Communicate project variations, delays, and risks promptly to project management teams.
Ensure all works are carried out in full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) requirements.
Manage daily site activities including direct labour, plant utilisation, material allocations, and safe execution of works.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Liaise with BIM Engineers to ensure construction models are updated following installation and upgrade works.
Complete company administration, compliance, and reporting procedures while accurately monitoring site progress.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Foreman, or similar site leadership position.
Strong background in mechanical building services, piping, HVAC, or industrial installation projects.
Experience supervising direct labour and subcontractor teams on large-scale construction projects.
Sound understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements within construction environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities with the capability to motivate site teams.
Relevant trade qualification, mechanical engineering qualification, or supervisory certification is desirable.
Experience working on data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large commercial projects would be advantageous.
