What We Need Help With
Golden Bake has an opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join our Night Shift team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will manage a team of 8-10 process and packing Operatives across our state of the art process and packing lines.
Night Shift
- Working Hours: 11pm to 7am
- Work Schedule: Sunday night to Thursday night
- Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
- Hourly Rate: €22.09 + 20% shift allowance = €26.50 per hour
Duties
Responsibilities
- Manage a process and packing hall of up to 18 process and packing staff
- Leading and driving your teams continuous improvement and standard of food quality, safety, hygiene and housekeeping
- Manage all day-to-day operations of your dedicated process and packing hall including:
- Team and task co-ordination and utilisation
- Lead and co-ordinate all team member training and development
- Food quality and safety
- Health and safety
- Full accountability of all process and packing key metrics including:
- Throughput
- Waste
- OEE
- Production plan attainment
- Responsibility of all day-to-day people related tasks including:
- Supporting the interview process for potential Operatives and Key Operatives
- Supporting probationary reviews and performance reviews
- Proactively supporting any potential grievances or disciplinary issues
- Working with Hygiene and Quality teams to ensure the plant is always kept to an audit-ready standard
- Manage the Health & Safety function for your process and packing hall
- Manage the communication process for your team to ensure they are kept well informed and that any issues from them that cannot be managed on the frontline are escalated
- Deliver the people development strategy for your team
- Coach and develop your frontline team members, enabling them to solve problems
- Leading or supporting a range of projects when required

- Experience in a similar position within manufacturing
