Working within the Quality Department, you will be part of a dedicated team, responsible for ensuring that the Plant meets its Customer, Regulatory and Plant Quality goals through the effective management of the Quality function. Responsibilities will include:
· Inspect raw materials (sheet and coil metals) and components (machined and laser cut parts), including finished goods arriving from other affiliate manufacturing facilities
· Maintain and update material certification information on the Quality database
· Participation in training and certification of other colleagues
· Prepare documents relating to certification
· Quality systems maintenance, development and auditing support
· Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
· Assist Manager in the investigation and resolution of quality related customer complaints
· In process inspection including first article inspection and inspection of in process assemblies or subassemblies
· Provide cover for other team members as required
· Miscellaneous administrative duties within the department
Projects as may be assigned from time to time
Essential Requirements:
· 3+ years quality / quality inspection experience within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment
· Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of chemical and mechanical properties of materials
· Knowledge of Quality Systems, ISO 9001
· Ability to read technical drawings
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Self motivated, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Desirable Requirements:
· Third level qualification in Quality/Science/ Engineering related discipline
· Experience in Quality Audits
· Knowledge of certification and world wide regulatory requirements
