We are currently recruiting for a part-time Restaurant Assistant to join our award-winning Fern House Restaurant in Kilmacanogue. This role offers 8-16 hours per week and is ideal for someone looking for flexible part-time hours, including weekday and weekend availability, in a busy and rewarding hospitality environment.

Deliver a high standard of customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Assist customers throughout their visit while maintaining Avoca's hospitality standards.

Prepare, clear and reset tables efficiently.

Support queue management during busy service periods.

Restock and replenish food, beverages and service stations as required.

Operate tills, process customer payments and handle transactions accurately.

Demonstrate good food product knowledge and confidently assist customers with menu queries.

Follow HACCP and Health & Safety procedures, ensuring all food safety standards are maintained.

Complete opening and closing duties as directed by the Restaurant Management team.

Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Previous experience in a busy restaurant, cafe or hospitality environment is desirable.
