Deli Assistant

Deli Assistant to join our growing family-run café and deli. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with fresh food, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive team.
What you'll be doing:
Opening the shop and preparing the deli for the day (7:00am start).
Preparing and cooking breakfast items for the hot deli.
Preparing and maintaining our cold deli.
Making fresh sourdough sandwiches, homemade salads, overnight oats, protein balls, and other grab-and-go items.
Maintaining high food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Working closely with another team member to keep the deli running smoothly.
Helping develop new menu ideas and seasonal specials.
We're looking for someone who is: Passionate about food and cooking.
Organised, hardworking, and reliable. Creative and happy to share new ideas.
Able to work well as part of a small team.
Friendly with good customer service skills.
Flexible and willing to pick up extra shifts when available.
Deli experience isn't essential– full training will be provided. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for creating fresh, high-quality food.
Hours: Early starts from 7:00am. Weekday shifts between 7:00am and 3:00pm.
Weekend opening hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm. Every second weekend may be required, along with a few weekday shifts.
Additional shifts may be available to cover holidays and busy periods. What we offer:
