The Role/Duties
- Team Leadership - Manage and mentor a team of mechanical maintenance technicians and contractors, offering hands-on guidance, training, and support. Build a team culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance Planning and Execution - Design and roll out robust maintenance programmes that keep mechanical systems — including HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment — running reliably and lasting longer. Schedule routine maintenance and respond quickly to unplanned issues as they arise.
- Small Works Project Management – Support Contracts Managers on Mechanical projects end-to-end working closely with internal teams and external vendors to keep projects on time, on budget, and up to standard.
- Technical Expertise - Act as the go-to technical authority on mechanical systems, diagnosing complex problems and identifying effective fixes.
- Health and Safety Compliance – Working Closely with Crystal Air EHS Department to ensure all service and maintenance mechanical work meet applicable health and safety regulations and standards. Carry out routine inspections and risk assessments to catch hazards early and put the right controls in place.
- Budget Management - Build and oversee budgets for maintenance and small works activity, balancing cost-efficiency with quality outcomes. Track Time Task Delivery on Service and Maintenance Projects, flag variances, and act quickly to correct course when needed.
- Documentation and Reporting - Keep thorough, accurate records covering maintenance work, project activity, and equipment inventories. Produce regular reports on maintenance performance, Service Performance and mechanical maintenance technicians performance.
Previous Experience / Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years Management experience in similar role.
- Mechanical knowledge & experience gained from either a trade or academic background
- Third Level qualification
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines and on their own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
What’s on Offer:
